Sewing, sewing, sewing

This weekend I took all Sunday while we watched football and got some sewing done. First we emptied the closet in the media room (where I sew) of all Kellen's old plastic toys (they are in there so they don't melt in the attic). We moved all of that junk to a spare bedroom closet and I made a nice organized sewing closet! I love it. It is much easier to see what fabric I have and what I need to do next. Plus if I need to clean up fast, there is now space in the closet to put my sewing machine and serger in the same room! No crazy cleaning and stuffing things in bags to put in the spare bedroom.

First I finished up some plaid button downs. I bought these at Salvation Army in the men's section and made them into cute maternity tops.
I just belted with a ribbon instead of sewing elastic around the 'waist.' Then it's not squeezing me too much.

Do you think these are too short to wear with leggings? I'm thinking leggings just make me nervous. I like the tops but maybe they are too short.
 Here's #2.

And #3. I think this was a 2x, so if any of them are long enough to wear with leggings, this one would be it.
It might be a little Christmasy to wear in October though.
After I finished the tops, I made a dress out of the blue jersey I bought online for a wedding we are going to this weekend in Illinois. I used a maternity t-shirt and a stretchy skirt I have as the 'pattern.'
Kellen said it was tight, I guess it is. He didn't say if that was a good or bad thing. Here's the inspiration:
Looks pretty close!
 Baby's getting pretty big.
What do you think?
