Another crazy month has flown by with hardly any sewing or crafting to post about! I had my baby shower 2 weeks ago, last weekend my parents were in town and this weekend my sister was in town! The baby shower was great and we got a ton of cute stuff. My parents came to Memphis and bought a house! Also that weekend, we got the nursery and all of our closets organized so now the nursery actually looks like a nursery and not a catch all junk room. My sister came to town for our annual Halloween party and she penciled in the jungle mural on the nursery wall! More details to come on that but at least it is drawn on the wall.
I put the felt bats up again by the front door and the double stick tape I bought absolutely failed. We put them up and probably about an hour later our entry way looked like this:
Do you see them all on the ground? How annoying.
All stuck in the quilt hanger.
And then on the pew. Crazy. We put them up again with regular tape and they lasted a little better, but still not great. Who knows what brand of double stick tape I used last year for none of them to fall down. I'll have to look for a new brand next year.
While Rach was in town, she helped me make a skeleton shirt. I saw one on pinterest and thought I could make it pretty easy. Rach is really good at drawing from a picture, so she just drew on a black t-shirt I bought at Salvation Army (it was men's 4x, I just took it in and made new sleeves to make it maternity) with chalk and I painted in with white fabric paint.
I forgot to pin a bow on our baby girl's head, oh well, it was still cute. I didn't wear the hat all day, just to hand out candy. My mom gave it to Rach for Halloween but she was just going to be driving back to Roanoke from Memphis, so she gave it to me to wear!
Pretty cute. The baby looks a little crazy in the pictures, but I guess that make it even more Halloweeny!
